Good morning from beautiful Guatemala! I'm sorry that there have been a few learning curves with the technology here, but I have it figured out now finally... with only enough moments to post a few pictures with quick captions below. So sorry! Perhaps this is better than nothing...
We flew into Guatemala City on Saturday night, spent the night in a fancy (read: safe) hotel, and then drove from the city to Panajachel. We had a clean, comfortable van and a good driver... we are well taken care of on this trip! Lauren snapped the above picture from out of the van's window. I love it because it shows the beauty of the place and also the way of living in this part of the country.
The boys were tired and we were all hungry, but after we recovered a bit, Lauren and I got to go out with Sharon, our most wonderful host. Sharon owns Unique Batik from whom we have bought since the very beginning. This was the only coop that I asked Sharon if we could for sure visit because I absolutely love this pottery. We get to go to the workshop today! So exciting!
In fact... I need to jump to it and meet the group. Hope you all are well and thanks for caring to check in on us!
