About Us
Where we began
"We can't just pray. We have to do something." While returning from a trip to the border in 2007, Amy Kay turned to the college group nestled in their church's 15 passenger van and hatched a plan to sell Fair Trade. It was the response that felt obvious after meeting coffee farmers who were struggling in Mexico.
From their first store in Missouri to selling Fair Trade out of her home in Illinois, then a "real" store, to now owning three stores in Kansas, Amy Kay has continued to support artisans and farmers in their efforts to overcome exploitation, poverty and gender inequality through Fair Trade.
